Seeing as we are learning all about Italy for Intercultural May we decided it would be a good idea to make some traditional Italian food this week - so we made some Pizza today! We had a mozzarella and a pepperoni pizza! YUM!! We were so lucky in senior infants to have a very special visitor this week! We had Audrey in from Dog's trust with her dog Bruno in to talk to us all about dog safety and how to be a responsible dog owner! It was a brilliant day - we even got to see a picture of Stephen's dog Sophie too! Sycamore class have been learning about all things animals and spring this month. We planted and grew our own daffodils. We talked about the parts of the plant today and we went outside to label and colour our daffodils. We loved enjoying the sun and colouring in our flowers. Here's the Seachtain na Gaeilge concert for anyone who didn't get a chance to watch it already! Sycamore class had a great time celebrating Pancake Tuesday and eating delicious pancakes! this month we are learning about spring. We collected our daffodils that we planted last term from the school garden. We have grown lovely flowers that are a gorgeous sign of spring time! Look at all the fun Oak Class had making Pancakes on Pancake Tuesday! First we learnt how to sequence making pancakes and then we got to eat some delicious pancakes! We also got to watch Stephen and Helena to see who could flip the pancakes the highest! We have been talking about valentines day and the importance of being kind and loving to our friends and family in senior infants. We had great fun making our butterflies to celebrate Valentines day. We loved painting our hands to make handprints for the butterfly's wings! :) We have been learning all about clothes this month in the Oak & Sycamore class! Look at the great work we have done in completing our clothes timeline! |
